Driver Board
NEXT VISION DISPLAY offers a wide portfolio of TFT with IC Controller on board.
IC Controllers change depending on the TFT display family. The most common are: Ilitek ILI9341 for small sizes TFT, Solomon SSD1963 and RAiO RA8875 for medium sizes.
IC ILI9341
IC ILI9341 is a 262,144-color single-chip SOC driver for a-TFT liquid crystal display with resolution of 240RGBx320 dots, comprising a 720-channel source driver, a 320-channel gate driver, 172,800 bytes GRAM for graphic display data of 240RGBx320 dots, and power supply circuit. ILI9341 supports parallel 8-/9-/16-/18-bit data bus MCU interface, 6-/16-/18-bit data bus RGB interface and 3-/4-line serial peripheral interface (SPI). The moving picture area can be specified in internal GRAM by window address function. The specified window area can be updated selectively, so that moving picture can be displayed simultaneously independent of still picture area.
IC SSD1963
There are a lot of Standard TFT module (Q Series) with IC Controller SSD1963 on Board with traditional VESA signal inputs. Customers don’t need to design T-COM circuit on board: all functions (including TFT connection, backlight driver, and touch panel) are integrated in one controller board. These modules have an integrated and unified 36-pinout connector; pin 33~36 are already definied as backlight supply: therefore, the customers no need to design extra backlight circuit. Possibility to pilot the modules in 8 bit or 16 bit Parallel mode.
IC RA8875
IC Controller RA8875 is very similar to SSD1963. TFTs (P Series) with RA8875 have an integrated and unified 36-pinout connector on the controller board; pin 33~36 are already definied as backlight supply: therefore, the customers no need to design extra backlight circuit. Possibility to pilot the modules in 8 bit or 16 bit Parallel mode.
These series supports many important function including Chinese character display, backlight brightness adjustment, Flash Memory, touch panel driver, etc…
